What was the first prayer you remember being answered?

We were getting ready to go to Grandma Nelsons funeral and I couldn't find my coat. Mom & Dad told me that if I couldn't find it then I was going to have to stay home :) I'd looked everywhere and didn't know what else to do. I went into the laundry room, knelt down, and asked Heavenly Father to please help me find my coat. I felt a distinct feeling to just keep looking. When I finished my prayer I opened my eyes and hanging on the clothes rack was my coat. I knelt right back down to say thank you and then we were on our way (unfortunately we backed over fluffy, needless to say I was distraught again).

The first time that I can remember clearly was when I was about 7 or 8. I had my own room in our big old farmhouse. Unfortunately, it was the room that also had the door leading up to the attic in it. There were always strange and scary noises in that room. One night it was very windy outside and it made that old house really creak. I was sure something was coming down from the attic to get me and I was so frightened! I call for Dad downstairs but he couldn't hear me. I called for Vicki, but she was in another room and didn't hear me either. I was too scared to get out of bed and go down to Dad-I was even to scared to get out of bed and pray, so I kneeled on my bed and prayed that I wouldn't be so scared. Then I was able to lay down and go to sleep.
