Weekend in Monticello
Thank you Johnsons for letting us come and visit. We had a great time. For those of you who weren't there we went to ARCHES & MESA VERDE with Cindys sisters family on Thursday & Friday. Saturday we all drove out to roast hotdogs and ride 4 wheelers. When we started roasting hotdogs it began to rain. We pulled the cars along side the fire and draped the tarp from car to car over the fire to give us cover. Then it hailed on us pretty good for a while. It was awesome (but wouldn't you know I forgot my camera on this part of the trip.

Please respond
Hello All,
We need your birthdays and addresses so we can make a link on here for everyone's birthdays and addresses. This way there will be no excuse for forgetting birthdays or not sending care packages to each other ;)
Just post a comment to this message with your birthday and address and any other personal info you want to share.
Thanks!
Cindy

howdy
hi there.. well the last few weeks have brought lots of fun and excitement.. lincoln got his first haircut a few weeks ago. we gave him a bottle of pills to play with and he was great!!! :) (closed and childproof of course). then he turned one on the 30th.. we actually celebrated it on the 31st bcuz mom and dad and gma & gpa came down.. he had a blast, didn't do quite as good with the massive mess of a cake with our dump truck brownie cake.. but he still liked it. we even caught dad trying to fit into the wagon box... that was before dessert. the beginning of this month he started saying "uh ho".. really really cute.. and then last week he started walking and opening doors. which is kind of a nice thing because he used to go into a room, close the door and then cry.. now i just have to watch the bathrooms.. :)
we also found me a nice bike at a garage sale a few weeks ago, so we've been going for lots of rides with the kidsin the trailer, they really like it. got to get out while the weather is still bearable. although hayli is already complaining its hot.. she's in for a rude awakening..
so that's our update! lincoln was 20lbs 8oz and 30 1/2 inches at his one year appt.
hope everyone is doing good!! can't wait to see everyone in a few months..
ps. seth-hayli loved the pict with the bear.. very cute!!
ppss.. HAPPY BDAY NATE-sorry we don't have a video camera... but i'm singing inside! :)

Kaitlyn had a little too much sugar
Cindys brother Brent had a birthday on Friday so we all got together. Someone left their dirt cake on the table and Kaitlyn climbed up on the chair and helped herself (video 1)
then when she'd had all she could handle the kids danced their sugar away (video 2).
Love you all,
Nate

Just checking in
Thanks for finally inviting us to be apart of the family blog. We were beginning to think that we were not going to be invited at all. We got a nice picture of Kamri and her new friend. Cindy should know where this is at. Acually it is at the Sportsmans Warehouse here in St. George, But only for a day or two. We actually got to hold the bear cub. Kynsli & Konnor were not terribly impressed.
Detailed instructions for posting videos
1. Go to Google.com and click the Video link above the "type in your search" bar
2. After clicking the Video link, a page with lots of video clips will appear. In the upper right corner of that page you will see a link called "New! Upload your videos. Click it! You may have to create a google account, but it is free and safe.
3. The next page instructs you to add your video file. Click the browse button to locate the video clip you want to add. A new box will appear, locate your video file, then click open in the lower right of that box. The new box will disappear and a link to your video clip will be inserted in the "video file" box.
4. Next, add a title for your video clip, a brief description, and select a genre. I usually select Children & Family at the top of the list. Then, select the Unlisted button just below the genre button, so your video will not be accessible to the world, but only to those you invite to view it. Agree to the terms and conditions (which say you won't post anything nasty or break any laws) by cliking that box and then click on Upload video button.
5. A new page will appear that has a timer bar indicating that your video is being uploaded. Depending on the size or length of your video, this can take quite a bit of time. Go put in a load of laundry, or make yourself a snack if you need to.
6. At last, a new page will appear with your video in a box on the left, a form to email the video clip on the right. What you want to do is click Embed this video on your website or blog. This will put the video right inside of your post, instead of just adding a link to it (and therefore exposing ourselves to see other people's video clips which may not be virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy). When you click on the Embed link, a little box will appear below it with what appears to be random numbers and letters and symbols. This is actual "code" or computer language for your video clip.
7. At this point, I find it useful to open up a new window or internet page so the google page and the Peterson Connection are open at the same time. You can do this in several ways, if you're unsure how lemme know and I'll walk you through it. Once the new page is open go to the Peterson Connection page and open the Post page. When that is all set, just pause there and go back to the google page.
8. At the google page, copy the code by highlighting the whole thing - make sure you get all of it - and then paste the code inside of the post box on the Peterson Connection (where you type your messages). You can add regular text before or after the code. Then Publish it and you're done!
